Who Will Guide My Sleigh Tonight?

by Jerry Pallotta, illustrated by David Biedryzcki

Santa works with a lot of different animals before he finds the right ones to pull his sleigh.

Santa needs a team of helpers. Tigers play too rough. Penguins don't fly, kangaroos hop too high, and dolphins prefer to swim. After trying other animals including skunks, turtles, and rhinos, he decided that reindeer will work the best. The illustrations are simple but colorful and support the text well.

Open for Debate

The reason he finally chose the reindeer is never explained. This leaves both choice and reasons open to discussion.
