Pookins Gets Her Way

written by Helen Lester, illustrated by Lynn Munsinger

Pookins always gets what she wants, until a gnome shows her she may not always like it.

Pookins is used to getting her own way through yelling, throwing apples, and making faces. She meets a gnome who grants her three wishes but soon discovers being a flower is not really what she wants.

The cartoon-like pictures are cheerful and colorful with lots of pinks and yellows. Preschoolers will enjoy Pookins' naughtiness, including whizzing through the living room on roller skates, and her humorous facial expressions.
