Little Bug

written and illustrated by Dick Gackenbach

A little bug's fears keep him in a dark and dreary hole until a voice convinces him that the beauty of the world is worth a few risks.

His fears keep a little bug in his dark and dreary hole until a mysterious voice convinces him that the beauties of the world are worth a few risks. Simple black line drawings cleverly show the good and bad consequences in appropriate relative size to the little bug, always colored blue.

I Love This Book

The little bug is so personable. His expressions and imagining results of possible actions help make this one of the best books I have found for encouraging young children to consider and weigh possible consequences before making decisions.
